My name is Lenora Rodgers and I have always loved writing for children!
If you look around my site, you are sure to find poetry and stories I've written that will tickle your fancy and stretch the imagination of your children.
In addition to my own books, I also contribute to The Peacock Writers children's charity books. The Peacock Writers is a made up of a group of authors who donate their time and efforts and some really fabulous stories and poetry to create 'themed' books that are sold to help raise money for worthy causes. It's a wholly not for profit group because the authors who are members of the group believe every child deserves the chance to read!
I live in Kentucky with my husband and our dog, a basset hound named Marshall (Marshy for short). I'm a mother and have recently become a grandmother to two wonderful little boys. My dream is to write books that they can hand over to their own children one day and say, 'Your Great Grandmother wrote these when I was little. They're my favorite books.'
Before I go - I want to make sure to point out the illustrator of my books (I think his work makes the stories truly 'come alive'!)
His name is Terry C. Wise and he's been an artist for many years. He's done editorial cartoons, portraits, and now... he's a bona fide children's book illustrator!
I have to say I am also lucky to have someone I consider to be one of the the best illustrators in the world for my stories! Terry C. Wise works out of his home studio in Glendale, KY.
